NoteGPT alternatives

facts checked on

The main alternatives to NoteGPT for YouTube transcripts and summaries are Glasp, Eightify, Tactiq, Notta, YouTubeScribe, TubeToTranscript, YTTools and Transcriptube. Glasp and Eightify are browser extensions built around AI summaries. Tactiq, YouTubeScribe, TubeToTranscript and YTTools return a transcript from a pasted link without an account. Notta comes from meeting transcription. Transcriptube gives the transcript and a timestamped summary on one page.

The table sets each of them beside NoteGPT on six things: what is free, whether you need an account, the formats you can save, what happens when a video has no captions, whether there is an AI summary, and where paid plans start.

Facts about the other tools are from their own sites, read on 5 October 2026; "not stated" means the site does not say. NoteGPT is the first row because the page is about it, Transcriptube the second because this is its page; the others are in alphabetical order, not ranked.

Each tool, in a paragraph

NoteGPT

NoteGPT's transcript generator is a web page: paste a link and read the transcript. The page calls it a "free online tool, no need for login, installation of software, or plugins, or extension", and says that "even videos without transcripts can be generated using NoteGPT's AI".

NoteGPT's own comparison lists unlimited transcript extraction and 15 AI actions a month on the free plan, with TXT and SRT exports. Paid plans start with Pro at $9.99 a month, or $108 a year.

Transcriptube

Without an account you get 2 videos a day, each with its transcript, an AI summary for a video up to 1.5 hours, copying and a .txt download. The SRT, VTT, DOCX and PDF files are on paid plans.

A video with no captions is recognised from its sound, up to 4 hours long; one up to 10 minutes is one of the day's free videos, and longer ones are paid. Plans are Basic $6.99, Pro $14.99 and Max $29.99 a month, and a single video can be opened with a one-off payment from $1.99.

How this page was put together

Every fact about another tool was read from that tool's own pages on 5 October 2026, and each paragraph above names the address it came from. Where a site does not state something, the table says "not stated" rather than guessing. There are no scores and no ranking here: the table holds what each tool says about itself, and which one fits depends on what you need.

The Transcriptube row describes what this site does today, with the same limits and prices as the pricing page. Transcriptube is run by IT Nest Limited, a company registered in Hong Kong – see About. If something here is out of date, write to support@transcriptube.com and it will be corrected.
