Does it work with vt.tiktok.com share links?

Yes. The Share button in the TikTok app hands you a short vt.tiktok.com link, and that is what most people paste. It carries a share code rather than the video id, so this page follows the link to the video it points at before transcribing. vm.tiktok.com and tiktok.com/t/ links work the same way, with or without the tracking tail the app appends.

Is it free?

Three TikTok or Reels transcripts are free in total — not three a day — with no account and no card. That is enough to see whether the transcript is what you needed. After that, transcribing more is part of a paid plan, which starts at $6.99 a month and also lifts every other limit on the site.

How is this different from the captions shown on TikTok?

Those captions are burned into the picture or added by the creator, and they are not a file you can take away. TikTok publishes no caption track for this tool to read, so the audio itself is transcribed with speech recognition. The result is text you can select, search, quote and download.

What if the video has no speech in it?

You get told so, and it does not count against your three. A TikTok that is music, a dance or engine noise has nothing to transcribe, and this page says that rather than inventing words out of the background — which is what a transcript generator that guesses will do.

Is there a length limit?
