What we collect on the site
Transcriptube has no accounts and no sign-up. We do not ask for your name, email or any personal information to use the tools on this site.
When you request a transcript, our server receives the YouTube video ID you submitted, fetches the caption text and passes it straight to your browser. We do not store the transcript, and we do not build any profile of who requested what. Standard hosting logs may briefly record requests for security purposes.
Converters run locally
The subtitle converters (SRT, VTT, TXT) run entirely in your browser. Files you convert are never transmitted to us or anyone else.
Analytics
We measure anonymous usage events, such as a transcript being fetched or a file being downloaded, to understand which tools are useful. These events contain the page and the action, not your identity. We do not use advertising trackers and we do not sell data.
The Telegram bot
If you open our Telegram bot, Telegram provides the bot with your Telegram user ID and username. The bot stores your language preference, credit balance and processing history to operate the service. That data lives with the bot and is covered by the notices shown inside it.
Third parties
The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Transcript fetching uses an upstream captions provider that receives only the video ID, never anything about you.
